Helvellyn

WARNING
Please take care when walking the terrain described on this page.

03/08/2013 / 9 miles - 5 Hours
Set off from Glenridding car park at 07:15 and walked in a clockwise direction up Mires Beck.
Over to Hole In The Wall then on to Striding Edge and up to Helvellyn summit.
Crossed over to Whiteside Bank then down Glenridding Common following the river back to the car park.

On the path from Lower Man to Whiteside Bank, the wind was so strong I was fighting to stand up. I was laughing all the way across and really enjoyed it... not for the whimsy though!
30 yards round the corner of Whiteside Bank cairn, there was nothing... like a summer's day.
