High Cup Nick (Nov 2013)
Having had one eye on this walk for quite some time, but with the weather forecast not looking so good, I decide to bite the bullet having a weekend free and give it a go. The temperature was just above freezing point in the valley but colder on the tops with poor weather forcast for later in the day, but hey......
Walking's for Walkers... Talking's for Talkers!
Its no good looking and wondering, if you want to get it done, just get out there!!!
I set off walking at 08:15 and was fortunate enough for the weather to hold out till after I got well past High Cup Nick which allowed for the photos.
I set off from the track just above Bow Hall near Dufton, walked up Peeping Hill and over the North Ridge to High Cup Nick. From there, I followed the South Ridge then descended Middle Tongue (through a snow shower) to High Cup House, Town Head then over Harthwaite Moor back the car.
I finished at 12:00 midday which took a total of 3 hrs 45 mins.
